The coaching staff of the Jay Bilas Skills Camp are former and current collegiate head coaches. Each coach is actively involved with teaching skill stations each day in addition to the coaching of an assigned team and organization and management of an assigned skill competition throughout the week. Every camper will receive personal instruction from their assigned camp coach as well as input and insight from Jay Bilas, Lane Odom, Paul Biancardi, and the other camp coaches.
If you are a current or former collegiate head coach and interested in working the Jay Bilas Skills Camp as a coach, please email Lane Odom at lane@sportmatch60.com.
CAMP MANAGERS PROGRAM
NOT A COLLEGE HEAD COACH BUT INTERESTED IN WORKING CAMP?
If you are an aspiring college basketball coach currently working as a collegiate student manager, high school coach, college basketball student-athlete, or small college assistant, we would love to have you participate in our Camp Managers Program if you are interested. The Camp Managers Program is a “working clinic” for young coaches who want to get hands on experience coaching from Jay Bilas and some of the top coaches in the country. Each Camp Manager will be assigned to a Camp Coach and assist with all facets of that coach’s station work, small group teaching, and 5-on-5 teaching. Camp Managers will also assist with check-in, check-out, and dorm supervision.
In addition, Camp Managers will participate in “Lunch and Learn Chalk Talks” and “Dinner with Coach” each day during camp. These meal time teaching sessions will allow the participants in the Camp Manager Program to learn both X’s and O’s of the game from experienced coaches over lunch and pick the brains of some of the best minds in college basketball over dinner. At the end of camp, participants will not only have new friends and references in the basketball business, but they will also have a ton of new drills, plays, and concepts to add to their knowledge of the game.
The cost of the Camp Managers Program is $250 and includes housing for 2 nights in the Queens University dorms, 3 meals a day for 3 days of camp, and all participation/instructional materials. If you are interested in participating and available June 17-20, please email Lane Odom for an application – lane@sportmatch60.com.
